Shoe Fashion trends for Winter 2010
January 1st, 2010
AaY-zeE Shoe fashion trends for Fall 2009-Winter 2010 differ from previous trends with strictness of forms and colors. The new season seems to be much more ‘practical’ than last Fall/Winter 2008/2009 shoe trend.
There are no more strange forms, motley palette and huge elements. Now couturiers choose quality, simplicity and style.
Of course some fashion designers presented their extravagant lines of footwear as well, but in the time of economic decline it looks defiant.
Try to choose easy-to-wear styles. Currently timeless footwear is top trendy.
The colour palette for the coming cold season looks dark, nearly mystic.
Near-black and black and colors that go between midnight blue, asphalt, dark green, petrol, dark violet and deep reds dislay themselves from an inconceivable side.
Neutral skin and leather tones set confrontations to this extraordinary darkness with a difference of shades from beige to grey to taupe.
Red and berry shades bring life into the good mood. Medium brown tones, particularly the trend colour cognac, will bring new thrust into the footwear fashion.
The discrepancy of the past Summer 2009 is continued in the Fall 2009-Winter 2010.
The forms range from rounded oval shapes to shortened and from square-toe styles to the so-called iron tips.
The trend heels – The basic variations of trendy heels for Fall 2009-Winter 2010 are
6-inch stilettos, stable square or trapezoid heel of different height, the higher the better
The main trend for Shoes Fall 2009-Winter 2010 are ankle boots and Over-The-Knee boots.
Interesting details can be on shoes too. Some footwear has fringe, stones, flowers, and is various in texture. But detailing is minimum, not like on shoes Spring/Summer 2009.
The Autimn and Winter are cold seasons and it’s necessary to keep your feet warm and dry.
New are the styles that go at least to the knee or above.
Soft fabrics allow these boots to be worn over-knee or incidentally pushed down.
Over-the-knee boots were all over at the Fall 2009 runways. The styles ranged from stocking-like to trouser-like in their semblance.
Materials for over-the-knee boots can be leather, suede, drap, silk or lace. Popular colors are black, grey, brown, red
The same model can be worn with short dresses and mini skirts and of couse with knickerbockers or with trousers and skinny jeans, perfect over tights, long socks.
You can put on over the knee boots to office or to the party and be in style!
Of course you can prefer to buy just high boots.
One of the most interesting collection of high boots was unveiled by Anna Sui. Showy embellished chamois boots, fur-rimmed metallic leather boots, ‘Anna Sui’ labeled motorcycle-inspired boots, studded zip-front knee-high boots, and shoes and boots featuring vicious looking leather-covered studs paraded down the catwalk.
Ankle boots are still a must for women. Platforms and wedges extend legs visually.
Cuban heels assure the essential stability in spite of staggering heights. The trend in soles leans toward rough style.
3.1 Philip Lim shows us super high platforms, metallic details, lacy lace-up ankle boots.
Christian Siriano see ankle boots with a platform patent, a similar style in brown leather with a gold heel and upturned toe.
Diane von Furstenberg presents high, sculpted platform shoes, worn with socks, topped with straps in black and various colors of brown as well as black fur-rimmed clogs and zippered black ankle booties made up most of the styles.
Various colors, styles and matirials. But they are very comfortable and unique.
Calflength biker boots have an earthy vibration with a touch of rock-star entice. The severe soles and metal details afford authenticity.
This Autumn /Winter 2009-2010 many designers added to the military and motocycle style, anckle lacing boots
Lace boots will be among the most original shoes in Fall 2009-Winter 2010.
High or low heel, or platform or widget straples shoes were in many of footwear collections. They look like interlacing materials stripes.
Bright and neitral colors look great. They are made in a bandage style.
Sandals and evening shoes are different. And everyone can find their best pair.
Mary Jane shoes look very classy. That’s why they will be a great idea for office style look.
Be a real shoe!
