The Battalion‘s Linda Wong designs with maximum wear-ability in mind, a concept that manifests in modern silhouettes and classic color palettes. The California-based “purveyor of green luxury” specializes in knits and woven fabrics, made with bamboo and organic cotton (certified by Oeko Tex); recycled polyester, and “peace” silk. Click through for photos from the ballerina-inspired designs, built to outlast seasonal trends.

EK by New Era’s hats have us in the mood for spring. If you haven’t started stocking up on accessories for the season, then this is the time to do it. Pieces like these are the best to get when they first come out, because it’s never good when there’s a trip to the sea looming and you have nothing new. These fedoras are lightweight and have a fantastic amount of ventilation for climbing temps. Toronto Fashion Week–or as the media sponsors have it: LG Fashion Week Beauty by L’Oreal Paris–starts this Sunday, March 28, in Canada and reclaimed fashion design house, Preloved will take to the runway with their fall 2010 collection. Gearing up for the show we’re sharing their designs for spring 2010: dresses and skirts made from reclaimed khaki pants; jackets made from reclaimed raincoats, and tops made from reclaimed dress shirts. Hear from CEO and founder Julia Grieve on their fall 2010 collection, “Reclaimed Heart” and view spring 2010 photos, after the jump.

We especially love showing our fall collection. It’s always our strongest collection, probably because of our solid Canadian roots and our ability to transform typically Canadian textiles such as wool and flannel into such dynamic designs.
